Please remember to wear your student ID every day. Students who forget or leave their ID at home will be issued a temporary wristband and charged for a replacement ID. If you are new to campus and have not yet received an ID, please visit the Media Center during lunch to receive one.
Also remember that students may not wear hats, beanies, or hoods from hoodies while on campus. Please make sure all head coverings are removed when you arrive at school and remain off throughout the school day. Thank you for helping us follow campus expectations!
Wednesday, September 9th, and Thursday, September 10th, are important testing days for our students. All 9th and 10th grade ELA students will take the FAST PM1 on September 9th. All juniors and seniors who need only a math score for graduation will take the Algebra 1 EOC on September 9th. All Juniors and seniors who still need both reading and math test scores will take the FAST Reading Retake on September 9th and the Algebra 1 EOC on September 10th. Please mark these dates on your calendar. Attendance is essential. Students must use their DCPS laptop for these assessments. They should update their laptops the evening before and charge the device overnight. Please remind your student to get a good night of sleep and eat breakfast prior to testing. Juniors and seniors not testing will be assigned to a study hall location.
Homecoming information was passed out on Friday. The information has also been posted on the school website and sent out via email to all students and parents. Tickets are on sale on schoolcashonline only. The dance will be held on Saturday, September 12th, here on campus. Make sure you read the dress code for the dance. Students who are not in dress code will not be allowed to enter the dance. Students who want to bring a non-ACHS students as a guest must submit the fully completed form by the end of the day on Tuesday, September 8th.

Grades 9-11 can purchase the Underclassmen Bundle which includes a yearbook, an all-season sports pass, a Stingray Nation t-shirt and crewneck sweatshirt. The underclassmen bundle is available for purchase through September 12th.
Seniors can purchase the Senior Bundle which includes a yearbook, an all-season sports pass, senior clothing and gear, a ticket to prom and the new winter white out dance, and more! You can pay in full or you can make a down payment as part of the payment plan, your choice. Seniors have until October 1st to purchase their bundle.
Once you have made your purchase, you must show your receipt to Ms. Solomon during your lunch. You will find her in room 123 (next door to the media center).
Senior ad pages for this year’s yearbook are on sale at yearbookordercenter.com. This is also where you can place your orders for a yearbook. Last year we sold out of both senior ads and yearbooks. Right now is their lowest price of the year so don’t wait!
Seniors, be sure to schedule your senior photos with Cady Studios at cady.com/schedule. Only photos taken with Cady will be in the yearbook.
