Homecoming Dance Information
Saturday, September 12th, 7pm – 10pm
***You must have your student ID with you to enter the dance***
Tickets:
August 28th – September 11th at Noon: The ticket price is $40
September 11th at Noon – September 12th at 9pm: The ticket price will be $50
All seniors can purchase a $10 ticket to the dance.
All tickets are sold online at dcps.SchoolCashOnline.com
Outside Guests:
Each Atlantic Coast student attending the Homecoming Dance can bring one non-ACHS student guest with them. These non-ACHS student guests are known as “outside guests.”
Outside guests must fill out a form to attend the dance.
Guests must be a current high school student (grades 9-12) to attend.
Guests are required to have a student ID to enter the dance.
If the guest’s school does not provide IDs, a drivers license or passport will be accepted.
This year, the form is digital and will be completed via a Microsoft Form. You can access the form HERE.
Only ACHS students who have submitted an outside guest form on time will be allowed to purchase an additional ticket.
This form must be completed by the end of the day on Tuesday, September 8th.
Outside guest tickets must be purchased no later than noon on Friday, September 11th. No guest tickets will be available to purchase after this date/time.
Homecoming Dress Code:
This dance is semi-formal.
Shirts must have a collar and a tie is preferred.
NO jeans
NO shorts (including athletic shorts)
NO house shoes, crocs, flip flops, gym/tennis shoes
NO overly revealing dresses allowed.
Sneakers in good condition will be allowed.
You must have your student ID with you to enter the dance. Contact Ms. Solomon (solomonr1) and/or Ms. Lakatos (lakatoss) if you have any dress code questions.
Homecoming Court:
Students who want to run for Homecoming court will be able to pick up and turn in nomination forms in room 123 starting Monday, August 31st. The final deadline to submit a nomination form for Homecoming court is Friday, September 4th. All nominees must be available after school Wednesday the 9th and during the game on Friday, September 11th. Seniors who win Homecoming court will be ineligible to run for Prom court.
9th grade royalty: Lord, Lady, Sovereign
10th grade royalty: Duke, Duchess, Sovereign
11th grade royalty: Prince, Princess, Sovereign
12th grade royalty: King, Queen, Sovereign
Students can vote for royalty from your grade level to be on the homecoming court during all lunches on September 8th and September 9th. Winners of 9th, 10th, and 11th grade courts as well as the top 4 nominees for 12th grade will be announced on Wednesday, September 9th. Voting for King, Queen, and Sovereign will take place during the homecoming dance and the 12th grade winners will be announced towards the end of the dance. Seniors must be present at the dance in order to win.
Ray Rally:
Wednesday, September 9th from 4pm – 6:30pm with live music, food, games, and more! Bring your class pride; it’s going to get pretty rowdy out there! Admission is $1 per person, and everyone is invited (students, teachers, family, alumni, etc.).
Themes:
Monday- No School
Tuesday- Make Yourself at Home | PJ day - wear your favorite PJs to school!
Wednesday- Game of Homes | Wear school colors and/or rep your club
Thursday- Home Field Advantage | Rep your favorite sports team
Friday- Home of the Stingrays | Party in the USA/wear red, white, and blue
Dance- Home Sweet Homecoming
***Remember: Dress Code must be followed during this week and at the dance***
***NO WEAPONSOR MASKS OF ANY KIND ALLOWED***
***Your entire face cannot be covered***
Discipline Reminder:
A student who commits a Class III or IV violation, described in the Codes of Student Conduct, shall forfeit the right to participate in student activities (EX: all Homecoming activities up to and include the dance). School Board policies and procedures regarding assignment to alternative centers shall apply to students who commit a Class III or class IV violation. See Dean Tiller, Dean Hicks, Dean Moses, AP Ross, or Principal Chirino if you have any questions regarding this policy.
