As we move into another exciting week at Arlington Middle School, we want to keep you updated on the academic highlights and school activities happening next week. Your involvement and support play a crucial role in your child's success, and we appreciate your partnership!
Academic Highlights
1. Math: Next week students will engage in fun math challenges and problem-solving activities including: writing algebraic expressions, usage of percent equations, two step inequalities, and identifying key features of absolute value functions. Encourage your child to embrace their inner mathematician!
2. Science: Students are busy finalizing their projects. Parents are invited to discuss what our young scientists and creating.
3. Language Arts: In Language Arts, students will finalize their Interim 2 Assessment, study figurative language in text and poems, and learn about what makes a great expository essay. This is a great opportunity for them to enhance their comprehension, writing, and critical thinking skills.
4. Social Studies: Students will learn more about Mesopotamia, the US Constitution, and how the British Policies led to the American Revolution.
Upcoming Activities
1. Sports: There are currently no scheduled games for AMS sports.
2. Parent-Teacher Conferences: We will be holding Parent-Teacher Conferences before school, after school, or during teachers' planning periods. This is a wonderful chance to discuss your child’s progress and any concerns you might have. To schedule a conference, please reach out to our Guidance Department
Important Reminders
PTSA Members Needed: We are always looking for parent volunteers for various events and activities. If you’re interested in helping out, please contact Ms. Gold to join. There is a meeting scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 7 at 6pm.
