We are excited to invite you to our upcoming Multicultural Family Literacy Night, a special event that celebrates the rich diversity of our school community through the power of storytelling and reading. This event will feature an exchange of culture, food, and language from a variety of cultures, and will provide a wonderful opportunity for families to come together and explore the world through literature. Whether you are looking to share your own cultural traditions or learn about others, we hope you can join us Friday, November 22 from 6pm-8pm at Arlington Middle School for an evening of fun, learning, and community connection. We look forward to seeing you there!

PARENTS, Two important Announcements for you First is just a reminder that Open House is Tuesday, September 10th, from 6pm to 8pm. We hope you'll make plans to attend! Second, As you likely already know from the message last week, DCPS has created three age-appropriate videos for each grade-level that discuss Title IX , a federal civil rights law that makes sex-based discrimination and harassment illegal in schools, and the resources that students have to report concerns. We encourage you to watch these videos with your children. The Video in question will be presented to students through their homeroom classes on Monday, September 9th. If you would like to opt your child out of watching the video in school, you can submit a Parent Opt-Out form. You will find this form in Focus under Forms. It is titled “Title IX Grade Level Video Viewing.”
