A message from Principal Parris. Good morning Beauclerc Elementary School families. This is Principal Parris. We had a great day today at Beauclerc, but I did want to inform you of a situation that occurred this morning, before student arrival, and the measures we took to keep our school safe.   Around 7:15 am, staff was safely evacuated from the building for about 30 minutes due to a fire alarm going off. JFRD responded immediately and determined that the alarm was triggered due to smoke in room 138 in building 7. It was determined that the smoke was caused by a malfunctioning air conditioning motor. There was no actual fire in the building.  JFRD thoroughly inspected the building before allowing us to enter and start our normal school day. District maintenance staff have been notified of the malfunction and are making the necessary repairs. We appreciate the patience and composure shown by our staff during this incident.  If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at the school.  Thank you and have a good rest of your day.

Duval County Public Schools and district offices will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 22. In addition, all athletics and after-school activities scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 22 will be canceled. All regularly scheduled athletic and extracurricular activities taking place today, Jan. 21, will continue as planned. Good afternoon Beauclerc Families, Today we had an incident which caused the school to go on lock down. School personnel and school police responded, and no imminent school-wide threat was identified. It was an isolated behavior incident in a classroom. In addition, a fire drill was also scheduled and conducted today. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
