Happy COOOOOLLLDDD Friday! Even though it was chilly, we had an amazing day!
As a reminder, there is NO School on Monday, January 19th, to celebrate Martin Luther King Day! Check out below the happenings for the rest of next week:
Week 2 of Be Safe. Be Seen. Awareness Week- promoting safety for walkers and bicycle riders through our community!
-Tuesday, January 20th is Black & White – Crosswalk Safety: Wear black and white to represent the stripes of a crosswalk.
-Wednesday is Twin – Safe Together: Partner up with a friend and dress alike to show safety in numbers.
-Thursday is Superhero Safety- Be a Safety Hero- Wear a superhero shirt or accessory to show that safety is a superpower!
-Thursday is also Math and Science Night from 6-7 pm- Come join in on some fun for the entire family!
-Friday is Jersey- Team up for safety- Wear your favorite sports team or school jersey.

Today was a magnificent Monday at the 'View! Many students and staff members wore their Brightest & Boldest outfits to promote the first day of Be Safe. Be Seen. Awareness Week! Check out the flyer (below) and dress up our Braves to bring as much awareness as possible to walking and bicycle safety!
Also, calling all Dads, Uncles, Granddads, brothers, and important males in our Braves lives- Plan to attend our January All Pro Dads Meeting this Friday in the cafeteria from 7:45-8:30 am!

-Wednesday, Jan 14th - Report Cards are posted in Focus and a copy will be sent home for parent/guardian signature

-Friday, Jan 16th- 7:45-8:30- All Pro Dads Meeting in the Cafeteria!!!

Guess what?! Bayview's new Lending Library is open and ready to provide books to our students and the entire community! Let's continue to encourage a love for reading! The library is located on the sidewalk by the bus rider gate; come see what amazing books are available -day or night, but remember the rule- take one you like anytime, and donate if you can to keep our Lending Library full of awesome books!

Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 7th, is our first day back in the 2026 new year!
As a reminder parents- students are not to be dropped off prior to 8:00 am every morning due to safety and not having staff monitoring outside. Please do not drop students off before then!

Tomorrow Night is Resource Night from 6-7pm for our 3rd-5th grade students- join us as students perform and participate in music and see your student's art displayed that they have been working on this year. We look forward to seeing you there.
Next Thursday evening at 6pm is our 3rd-5th grade resource night Many of our students will be participating in a musical performance using their recorders for music and we will have an art walk with their work displayed as well.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 18th- Progress Reports for Quarter 2: You will be able to view your students' progress reports through your linked Focus parent account and/or look for child’s hard copy tomorrow in their bookbag.
Also, Tuesday- “Wear Red for Ed”- Let’s all wear red to show our love for education!
Thursday, November 20th- Bayview Picture Day for all Braves!

Friday, November 21st- last day for food donations to benefit Bayview families for Thanksgiving! The hallway with the most food donations will get to “Pie the Principal and Assistant Principal”! As of Monday, Hallway A has taken the lead! YAY!

Today, we kicked off our Thanksgiving Food Donation to benefit our Bayview Families! The Hallway that has the most food donated by next Friday, November 21st, will get to PIE Ms. York and Mrs. Cousins! All canned goods and non-perishables can be placed in the container at the end of your students' hallway! Lets see who gets to PIE the Principal and Assistant Principal!!!

This Friday, October 31st we have some fun planned for our Braves!
First, we will have our annual Book Character Parade (see attached and below for reminders) and then later in the day we will have our Glow Light "Atten-DANCE" for all students who had perfect attendance for the month of October.
Let's celebrate our love of reading and dress up as your favorite book character!
Remember:
-Costumes should not interfere with learning
-Characters/Book must be elementary school appropriate
-Costumes should represent a favorite character from a fiction/non-fiction book
-No sharp objects, clown masks, or toy weapons will be allowed
