Hello Chimney Lakes Families & Care Givers:
Welcome back to another week of learning at Chimney Lakes! We are going into our last month of intensive pushing our students to succeed on their end of the year FAST assessments.
Friday's International Day was AMAZING! A BIG Thank You to our PTA Board, Mrs. Edwards, countless speakers and presenters, and our wonderful parents who dressed up or had their children dress up for the day. We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful experience for our children and it's always something they remember from their childhood. THANK YOU!
The next two weeks will be really different as the students have days off this week and the next. There is a holiday this Friday, April 3rd, a weather day on Monday, April 6th and a Teacher Professional Development Day on Tuesday, April 7th. Students will return to school on Wednesday, April 8th.
*Play Day is THIS Thursday, April 2nd.. You will see a schedule attached to this message. You are welcome volunteer or spectate IF you have a Level 1 volunteer clearance. Please make sure you have completed this BEFORE coming to the school. If you ordered a shirt online, they will be sent home with students tomorrow.
*FAST Writing Assessment will be next Wednesday, April 8th for our 4th and 5th grade students. Please make sure your student is here for this important assessment.
*Purple Up Day for our Military Children and Families will take place on Wednesday, April 15th. We are asking all active duty military parents come and stand beside their child for our Flag Raising and Purple Ribbon Ceremony.
*LEAP DAY Musical Performance by the CLE Music Club will take place on Friday, April 17th and Saturday, April 18th. Look for tickets to go on sale soon! Click here to sign up to volunteer backstage.
*Campus Beautification Day is right around the corner on Friday, April 24th. Please see the flyer for more information including signing up for projects.
Finally, our VPK/Kindergarten Round Up is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29th at 9 am. If you know of a family who will be joining us for Kindergarten, please share this information with them.
