Hello Chimney Lakes Families & Care Givers:
We hope you are off to a great Monday. Thank you for a good start to the school year last week. While we had some bumps in the road, you all were so patient and kind with us as we get things figured out. Some things, like bus transportation, are still being worked out from the DCPS Transportation Office. As we find things out, we will send them to you.
Each month, I will send a calendar and online newsletter to you through our Chimney Lakes Chats. Please take the time to read through them. It will save you some frustration and time. I've attached the August calendar again for your reference.
You should start to see our T-shirt sale for students, family members an
d even little siblings for our 26-27 school theme! We wear our school colors every Friday and we hope you will join us in showing your Chimney Lakes School Spirit! Check in your child's daily folder or planner for the flyer to return. You can also add them on School Cash Online in your DCPS app. It has been set up for the whole school in School Cash Online.
Tomorrow, we will have our first School Advisory Council Meeting for the school year. It is open to any stakeholder in our school. We meet the third Tuesday of the month at 4:30 pm in our Media Center. We hope you will join us!
Finally, don't forget how important it is to have the DCPS app, PikMyKid app (and, if you ride the bus, Edulog). These are the main communication tools DCPS uses to communicate with families.
