CELEBRATING SCHOOL COUNSELORS — Team Duval is proud to recognize National School Counseling Week and the incredible impact our more than 240 school counselors make every single day. They advocate for students, help them navigate their academic journeys, and guide them toward their goals. Our success as an A-rated district with a 97.6% graduation rate would not be possible without these dedicated professionals. As part of this special week, dozens of counselors gathered at the Schultz Center for their annual conference, focused on building student “superpowers” like grit and resilience – perfectly aligned with the national theme of helping students thrive and preparing them for college, career, and life. Their commitment to growing their own “superpowers” directly fuels student success across Team Duval. Join us in thanking our outstanding school counselors for the lasting difference they make in our schools and community!

PFEP Meeting Announcement
Welcome back Crystal Springs Dolphins! The last 2 days have been a fantastic start into the 4th nine weeks. As a reminder to Car Rider parents, car rider dismissal begins at 2:40pm until 3:10pm. The car rider gate will close at 3:10pm. Our car rider line moves quickly and efficiently to ensure that parents are not waiting in the care rider line for a long period of time. If you are concerned about the wait time during car rider dismissal, bus rider dismissal can be an alternative for your family. If you would like more information on your child becoming a bus rider, please contact the main office at (904) 693-7645 for bus and rout information.

**New procedure when students are late to school- after 8:30AM**

Good morning Crystal Springs Families,

We will be adjusting the system of how to drop late students off. Starting Tuesday, March 24th, when students come back from Spring Break, if your child arrives after 8:30AM, you will need to park and walk your student to the main office to sign them in. As a reminder, students can arrive on campus from 8:00-8:30 as instruction begins immediately following arrival. It is imperative that arrangements are made to have your child arrive on time to school as after four (4) tardies, you will be required to attend a meeting to develop a plan to get your child to school on time.

Again, starting Tuesday, March 24th, when students come back from Spring Break, if your child arrives after 8:30AM, you will be required to park and walk your student to the main office to sign them in so we have record of an adult dropping them off.

We appreciate you working in partnership with us!

Greetings Westside Family,

This is a friendly reminder that the St. Vincent's Mobile Health Unit will be at Charger Academy on Wednesday, March 18th from 9AM to 12PM.

With Spring Break approaching, this is a great opportunity for students and families to access convenient health services (physicals and immunizations) during the break. Thank you in advance for helping us spread the word.

Good afternoon Crystal Springs Families,

I just wanted to let you know that the phone system is out at Crystal Springs and across the school district. It is NOT affecting anything in the classrooms or the school. It is business as usual. We will see you at dismissal!

Good afternoon Crystal Spring Families,

I hope your day is going well!! I wanted to let everyone know that we had an unplanned fire drill today. We have two fire alarm sensors that malfunction causing the fire alarms to go off for about 8 minutes. Faculty, staff, and students did a phenomenal job evacuating to their assigned locations. It is always our priority to keep our faculty, staff, and students safe! I wanted to let you know in case your child comes home today and talks to you about it. Again, it was a sensor malfunction and no fire occurred. I hope everyone has a great rest of your day!

Good afternoon Crystal Spring Families!

As we edge closer to Valentine's Day on Saturday, I want to please request that all stuffed animals, candy gifts, balloons, flowers, etc be given to your child on Valentine's Day, Saturday. Any aforementioned gifts brought or delivered to the school, will be held in the main office until dismissal so not to be an instructional distraction. Thank you so much! Have a great day!

Good afternoon Crystal Springs Families!

I truly appreciate your patience and understanding today. At this time, maintenance is at school getting the heat up and running in all classrooms. By tomorrow, the heat should be fully running and all classrooms should be warm and comfortable. YAY! I will keep you posted if anything changes. I hope you have a great rest of your day!

Hello Crystal Springs Elementary School families, this is Principal Session.

Whenever anything impacts our school day, I will always keep you informed. Unfortunately, I am calling to make you aware that the school’s heating compressor unit is currently not functioning, and all classrooms are experiencing cooler temperatures as a result.

District Maintenance staff have been notified about the issue. In the meantime, students have been advised to keep their hats and coats on while we await the Maintenance team.

Parents and guardians who wish to pick up their students may do so immediately. Please report to the main office with your photo ID to sign your student out for the day. If you are unable to pick up your student, you may send one of the authorized adults listed in your student’s FOCUS account to sign them out.

For the students who remain at school, we will continue with our normal school schedule while we work to resolve this issue.

I understand that this unexpected situation may cause inconvenience for some families. Please know that the safety and well-being of your student is my top priority. As always, thank you for your understanding and support as we work to resolve this issue.

Please stand by for future updates regarding the heating system. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at the school.
