Parents/Guardians,
We want to share some important information about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and how it directly impacts our school’s funding and the resources available to our students.
The SNAP program provides vital assistance to families in need by helping them afford nutritious meals. Many families who qualify for SNAP may not realize that their participation also benefits our school. One of the key ways our school receives additional funding is through the number of students eligible for free and reduced-price meals, which is directly linked to SNAP enrollment.
Our school receives Title I funding based on the percentage of students eligible for these meal programs. These funds allow us to provide additional academic support, after-school programs, classroom resources, and essential services to ensure all students have the tools they need to succeed. By applying for SNAP, your family may gain valuable assistance, and at the same time, help our school continue to receive the necessary funding to support our students.
If you think your family may be eligible for SNAP benefits, we strongly encourage you to apply. The application process is confidential and straightforward. To apply, visit https://myaccess.myflfamilies.com/Public/login . If you need help completing the application, our school is happy to assist you.
Thank you for your time and for being a valued part of our school community. Your support helps us provide the best possible education and resources for every student.
In Partnership,
Hope Teper
Principal
