I would like to thank each of you for honoring me on Boss' Day. I appreciate all my favorite snacks (Jelly beans, Plain Lays Potato Chips, Coconut Water, card, etc). You didn't have to do it. Therefore I am grateful. I would like to keep you updated regarding events occurring this week.

In addition to updates, just a reminder students are NOT to be on campus without parental supervision. There is no supervision before 8:00 a.m. Students who are getting into trouble, parents will be contacted. We ask for your support regarding this matter.

Please mark your calendars regarding the following events:

October 22 - Take Your Parents to Lunch (You can eat lunch with your child but you must have Level 2 clearance via DCPS. Level 2 clearance cost $74.50. https://www.duvalschools.org/o/humanresources/page/volunteer-hr

October 23 - TEAM-UP (Lights-On Program); SAC Meeting @5:30 p.m.

October 24 - Awards Ceremony (4th & 5th Grade -8:45; Kindergarten & 1st Grade - 9:20; 2nd/3rd Grade-10:00). You should have received an invitation if your child is receiving recognition.

Next week is Red Ribbon Week. Flyers will go home tomorrow. Character Day is next Friday. All students will dress up as a Superhero".

October Parent Newsletter went home today. In addition, a parent survey to let us know the areas of improvement needed. The first 70 students to return the survey will receive a "No Uniform Pass". Parents must sign the survey and please include your child's name. Also there are two dates listed for 1st Nine Weeks Award, the date was changed to October 24 due to school being closed October 13, and 14.

The district will be collecting data to inform schools on various ways to improvements. The survey collects feedback from students, staff, families, and community members to provide a complete view of school climate and experiences. The first 70 students to return their parent's survey will receive a "Uniform Dress Down" pass. Please make sure you write your name and your child's name on the survey. These will come home today.

Survey Window: October 6 - 21, 2025.
Stakeholders: All staff members, students in grades 4-12, families, and community members.

Format: Online, role-specific versions with paper copies available for Parents & Community Members. For a paper-survey, please request through your school.

Just a reminder about orientation on Saturday, August 9, 9-10 for Technology Support with new programs. 10-12 a.m. to meet Teachers.
We will have the following:
(9-10 a.m.) Assistance with creating FOCUS, PikMyKid, ThrillShare (to communicate with school and teachers) and K-5 Registration
Free Haircuts
Baptist Hospital for physicals and immunizations
Free Food
Clothing
Clear Backpacks filled with School supplies

Good morning Wildcat Parents and Happy 1st Day of Summer I hope that all is well today. As families matriculate during the summer, I will keep you posted regarding some family outings, student learning opportunities to prevent summer slide, and opening of school information. Some families may not know but we will remain open for the 2025-2026 school year. We look forward to welcoming returning and new families. With that said, here is some summer information: 1. • Blended Learning Access: students will have access to Blended Learning platforms up until the date listed below. o i-Ready: July 25, 2025 (1st thru 5th grade -Reading and Math) o Freckle/Lalilo: June 30, 2025 (1st - 5th Grade-Helps struggling readers learn to read better) o Waterford: August 6, 2025 (Kindergarten Only) 2. 24-25 End of Year Information Good morning Wildcat Parents As we transition to the close of the 24-25 school year, I would like to wish everyone a happy summer. I am excited for the new school year. Yes, we will still be open for the upcoming 25-26 school year. With that said I want to provide you with some end of year information. 1. Report Cards/Grades - all grades will be posted in FOCUS on June 12. If you don't have a FOCUS account, here are directions to create one. https://dcps.duvalschools.org/o/dcps/page/get-linked 2. Back Packs - Please don't bring backpacks the remainder of the week. 3. 3rd Grade Students Required to attend Summer Schools (Parents of notified students only) - Summer School begins on June 9 @ 8:30 a.m. Summer school will be held at Rutledge Pearson Elementary School. Testing will begin at 9:15. Please make sure they are at school on time, and they eat a full breakfast. Wish them well and we will see you tomorrow.
