A Rich History of Developing Leaders

With 80 years of serving children, Hendricks is a trusted partner in the life of our vibrant San Marco neighborhood. Parents love that we welcome a diverse group of returning and new families to Hendricks each school year. They also appreciate our commitment to building good citizens who live with integrity and give back through service to others. They see the value of our many community partnerships and appreciate the priority given to our students for enrollment at Landon Middle School. Above all, Hendricks parents know they are an all-important part of our school family. As a parent here, we want you involved, informed, and engaged.

Why Students Love Hendricks

Students love their time at Hendricks Elementary School. They form strong, lasting friendships, thrive under the care of our dedicated teachers and staff, and come to expect great things from themselves. Our emphasis on developing leaders means each child has the opportunity to explore what leadership means in his or her own area of interest. That could be helping others shine as part of the Kindness Club, developing good sportsmanship skills in the Board Game Club, competing gracefully with our Running Club, or so much more. There are endless extracurricular activities, such as dance and music, to expand your student’s horizons. The sky’s the limit when you are a Hendricks Elementary Eagle!

What Your Child Will Learn

Your child will leave Hendricks with the academic skills needed to excel in middle school, high school, and beyond. They will be comfortable thinking strategically, as well as creatively. Through our longtime work within the renowned Franklin-Covey “Leader In Me” leadership development and school improvement program, we guide our students to develop the tried-and-true habits of successful people. Each Hendricks student also contributes to an annual service project, learning firsthand the fulfillment of helping others, and the lasting impact strong leaders can have on the world around us.

A Dynamic School Experience

Spirited. Energetic. Compassionate. Creative. Positive. Productive. There are many ways to describe the culture at Hendricks Elementary. Come walk our halls and experience it yourself. By building scholars, leaders, and individuals with character in these early years, we help our students chart the course towards later lives of achievement and contribution. And we have an absolute blast doing it. We’d be honored to have your family become part of the Hendricks Elementary School community. We can’t wait to see your student soar!
