CELEBRATING SCHOOL COUNSELORS — Team Duval is proud to recognize National School Counseling Week and the incredible impact our more than 240 school counselors make every single day. They advocate for students, help them navigate their academic journeys, and guide them toward their goals. Our success as an A-rated district with a 97.6% graduation rate would not be possible without these dedicated professionals. As part of this special week, dozens of counselors gathered at the Schultz Center for their annual conference, focused on building student “superpowers” like grit and resilience – perfectly aligned with the national theme of helping students thrive and preparing them for college, career, and life. Their commitment to growing their own “superpowers” directly fuels student success across Team Duval. Join us in thanking our outstanding school counselors for the lasting difference they make in our schools and community!

If you are a parent or guardian of a student in grades 3–5 (general education), we invite you to join us for an important and engaging Math Family Night on Thursday, March 26 at 6:00 PM in the HEA Café. Families will gain valuable information about student performance data, upcoming testing expectations, promotion requirements, helpful resources, strategies for success, and more. REGISTER FOR A BUS TODAY - Bus registration for the 2026–2027 school year is now open. All students who plan to ride a school bus next year must be registered in advance, including students enrolled in self-contained ESE programs. Families are encouraged to register as early as possible to help ensure a smooth start to the school year. Registration forms are available in Focus. Duval County Public Schools is officially on Spring Break! 🌷☀️ We hope all of our Hawk families enjoy a safe, joyful, and well-deserved time to rest, recharge, and make special memories together. Let’s come back ready to soar with strong energy, positivity, and momentum for the final stretch of the school year!
Schools will be closed Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20 for Spring Break. Additionally, students will not have school on Monday, March 23, as it is a designated Teacher Planning Day. We look forward to welcoming our Hawk scholars back to school on Tuesday, March 24! The next Hawk Parent Newsletter will return next week.

This month's Kona Attendance and Behavior celebration has been rescheduled to Tuesday, February 24th. Please note that this celebratory event is invitation-only based on attendance and behavior.
Hawk scholars who have zero unexcused absences, zero Bizi flags, and zero discipline referrals from January 27th - February 19th are eligible to attend and will receive an invitation on Friday, February 20th.
Please check your child's communication folder on Friday. Invitations for eligible scholars will due back to their homeroom teacher by Tuesday morning, Feb 24th.
