volunteers at the school playground getting some mulch

On Saturday, September 20, Mt. Herman Exceptional Student Center came alive with the spirit of service as dozens of volunteers from Generation Works and Deutsche Bank rolled up their sleeves for a day of transformation.

The volunteers tackled a variety of beautification projects both inside and outside the campus. Indoors, team painted murals, assembled furniture, and added vibrant touches to shared spaces. Outside, volunteers landscaped the playground, spread mulch, cleared debris, and brought fresh energy to garden beds, creating a welcoming and refreshed environment for our students.

Principal Williams thanking the volunteers

“Generation Works and Deutsche bank, together you guys have just brought us thrills and just made us really excited to come back to work and support our children,” said Principal Moses Williams. “The work that you’ve been able to do and the support that you've provided has been amazing”

From hand-painted flower vines and creative artwork to improved outdoor spaces, the impact of this day will be seen and felt by students, teachers, and families throughout the year.

Mt. Herman Exceptional Students Center sincerely thanks Generation Works and Deutsche Bank for choosing our school and demonstrating the power of service and collaboration.
