Mt. Herman Exceptional Student Center celebrated the beauty of autumn through its annual Sensory Harvest Hall, a fun-filled event designed to engage students in sensory-rich fall experiences. The celebration featured vibrant displays, creative costumes, and a variety of textures, colors, and scents that brought the season to life.
Students and staff enjoyed exploring themed tables filled with autumn treats, colorful decorations, and interactive activities. From feeling the textures of pumpkins and leaves to smelling seasonal fruits and sweets, every corner of the event offered a sensory adventure. One display titled "Autumn in Hawaii" combined tropical and fall elements, while the Pumpkin decorating Contest featured a variety of uniquely designed pumpkins, from spooky faces to imaginative themed creations--all adding fun, competitive touch to the festivities.

Outside the multipurpose room, judges eagerly awaited the start of the costume contest, where both students and staff proudly showed off their creative and festive outfits. The event also featured a visit from friendly service dogs, offering students an opportunity to engage in calm and joyful sensory interactions.

The Sensory Harvest Hall was a joyful celebration of community, creativity, and inclusion--reminding everyone that learning can be both educational and fun.
