Dear Jacksonville Beach Elementary School Families and Staff,
I hope this message finds you enjoying a restful and refreshing summer break. As we prepare to begin another exciting year of learning and growth, I am thrilled to welcome you back to Jacksonville Beach Elementary School. It is an honor to continue serving as your Assistant Principal and to work alongside such a dedicated and caring school community.
This year’s theme is:
“Life is a B.E.A.C.H.—Come Learn in the Sand!”
We are Building a foundation of Excellence in Academics and Cultivating Higher-level thinking across every grade level.
We are proud to share that Jacksonville Beach Elementary has maintained our “A” school rating. Our students achieved an overall proficiency rate of 95% in English Language Arts, a rate that has remained steady from the previous year. In mathematics, we saw a one-point increase to 99% proficiency, and in science, we achieved 95% proficiency. While we celebrate these strong outcomes, we also acknowledge that our work is not yet complete.
As a high-performing school, we remain committed to ensuring that every student reaches grade-level proficiency and receives support not only academically but also socially and emotionally. Our mission is to nurture the whole child and provide a school environment where all students feel safe, valued, and empowered to succeed.
As we embark on this journey together, please remember that my door is always open to you. I welcome your thoughts, ideas, and involvement. Together, we can build on our strengths and create even greater opportunities for our students.
Wishing you all a fantastic start to the 2025–2026 school year. I look forward to seeing everyone—smiling recharged, and dressed in your beach best—on Monday, August 11th!

Mrs. A Michelle Alford
Assistant Principal
