Jean Ribault Middle School Uniform Policy

Jean Ribault Middle School is proud of its dress code policy, which provides students and families with clear expectations of what every student uniform should look like, as outlined below.

 Students are required to wear a school uniform at all times while attending school or any school-sponsored activity during the school day. Students are also required to wear their JRMS Student ID on a lanyard around their neck at all times while on campus. 

Uniform Policy

Uniform Shirts by Grade Level (2025-26 School Year)

Students are required to wear polo-style, collared shirts in their grade-specific color, featuring the school logo. Shirts must be tucked in at all times.

• 6th Grade – Light Blue

• 7th Grade – Grey

• 8th Grade – Navy Blue

Uniform Bottoms by Grade Level

Students are permitted to wear khaki or navy-blue pants or shorts only.

Prohibited attire includes, but is not limited to:

• Skirts or skorts

• Sweatpants or joggers

• Jeans

• Leggings, jeggings, or tights

• Cargo pants or cargo shorts

• Dri-Fit or lounge wear

• Bodycon or form-fitting bottoms

• Head coverings

• Sunglasses

ID Policy and Expectations

Each student will be issued a 2025-2026 JRMS ID. Students will be required to wear their IDs around their necks (visible on the outside of clothing) throughout the school day. This is a safety issue and therefore compliance is mandatory. The first ID will be issued at no charge. If your child comes to school without their ID and no one can bring their ID to the school, progressive discipline will be administered. If a student loses their ID or defaces their ID, another ID must be purchased at a cost of $10.00. Student IDs are required for bus admission, hall passes, and entry to school events.
