With the new Jean Ribault High School scheduled to be completed this summer, Jean Ribault Middle School will transition back to the middle school campus in August 2025! The transition will begin this summer, and students will be welcomed back on campus on the first day of school.  We are excited to share this update and encourage you to review the information below to help you prepare for the transition.

 Things to Know:

  • Background: During the construction of the new Jean Ribault High School, high school students attended school on the middle school campus, requiring our middle school to be temporarily relocated. With the completion of the high school, students will return to the middle school campus.

  • Address: Ribault Middle School is located at 3610 Ribault Scenic Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32208.

  • Arrival and Dismissal: Our school hours remain the same. The arrival bell is 7:40 a.m. and the dismissal bell is 2:25 p.m.

  • Uniforms: We will continue to be a uniform school. Our dress code policy provides clear expectations of what every student uniform should look like. Students are required to always wear a school uniform while attending school or any school-sponsored activity during the school day. Learn more about the dress code policy on the JRMS Student Dress Code webpage.

  • Transportation: Per School Board policies, neighborhood bus stops will be provided for students outside of the 2-mile radius for JRMS.  All students, except those receiving ESE services, must register for transportation to ride a bus. This bus stop registration web page provides all the details on how to register for transportation. Registration for the 2025-26 school year will open in the spring. If you need assistance, our transportation department is ready to help. Call them at (904) 858-6200 with any transportation-related questions.
