Patriot News Headline

Dear parents/guardians,

Happy Monday Patriots! I hope each of you had a wonderful Spring Break with your cadets.  We look forward to seeing them tomorrow as we begin the last quarter of the year. Some of our priorities include, reviewing Quarter 1, 2, and 3 grades and continue the recovery process to ensure that every cadet promotes to the next grade level.  We will also continue remediation from the state and district testing to also ensure that every cadet is on grade level in reading and math.

Need help navigating Focus and your child’s blended learning platforms? One of our parents is still volunteering to be at JSMAL every Friday from 2:00-3:30pm in the front office to assist any of you who need help. She would love to help you navigate Focus, your parent portal and all of your cadets blended learning platforms that they have access to at home.

Math Boot Camps coming starting this Saturday! Has your cadet fallen behind in Math? Our math department is offering free math remediation for the next five weeks on Saturdays from 09:30 - 12:00. It won't be like your typical classroom. Math will be fun including games like an escape room, Kahoot, and other hands of math activities. Let your math teacher know if you can attend. You will need a permission slip to participate. I your cadet is NOT engaged or on task, he or she will not be invited back to future boot camps.

Algebra I tutoring – Need help with Algebra I, we have afternoon tutoring from 3:30 – 4:30pm every Wednesday with Ms. McNally.

Car safety - Parents, please do not park on Permento when picking up and dropping off your cadet. Use the drop off and pick up on Burma Road. The traffic on Permento and the buses makes it not safe for your child. In addition, the only entrance for drop-of-and-pick-up is the front office or gate in the front of the school on Burma Road. Only buses and staff members are allowed to enter from Permento Road.

8th Grade Military Ball – Date has been changed from March 14 to April 24th.
