Dear Parents/Guardians,
Happy Sunday Patriots! What a great holiday Thanksgiving is, and I hope it was for each of you and your friends and family. I am super excited about where our Jaguars are sitting right now, first in the division. Next week’s game against the Colts will be HUGE! I will be in attendance for that game on December 7th. More importantly, we have three more weeks of quarter two before winter break. Our cadre have a great deal of teaching to do, getting our cadets ready for the winter district and state assessments. Please ensure that your cadet is coming to school, prepared to learn. We need your help by sending the message that school is important, learning is expected and attendance is essential to get cadets ready for high school and beyond. We will be reaching out to our families who have cadets that are not meeting the minimum expectations required by the magnet agreement. As a reminder, it is our expectation that our families respect and adhere to our requirements in the cadet manual. Failure to do so will result in the termination of your magnet status and you will need to return to your neighborhood school next year.
Movie Night at JSMAL – Parents and guardians…we have a Title I parent engagement night planned for your and your cadet on December 11 from 6:00 – 7:30pm in the gym and mess hall. We will provide dinner and snacks and parents are required to attend with their cadets. Movie in the gym for cadets, parent night in the mess hall with food and Q & A with your principal and Assistant Principal. Come join the fun and bring all your cadets’ siblings.
