They advocate for students, help them navigate their academic journeys, and guide them toward their goals. As part of this special week, dozens of counselors gathered at the Schultz Center for their annual conference, focused on building student “superpowers” like grit and resilience – perfectly aligned with the national theme of helping students thrive and preparing them for college, career, and life. We are excited to celebrate the students who met their Winter Reading and Math goals and qualified for the Zoo Field Trip on Monday, December 15th! 🎉🦁
As a reminder, only DCPS Level 2–cleared chaperones are permitted to attend field trips with students. We sincerely thank the Level 2 chaperones who will be attending with us. At this time, no additional chaperones are needed.
Please note that families may not purchase separate Zoo admission and join or follow the group. During an instructional day on an approved field trip, only certified staff and Level 2–cleared volunteers may be in contact with students.
If you are interested in chaperoning future field trips, please visit the Duval County Public Schools website and complete the volunteer (Level 2) clearance process.

This is a reminder that State Reading Testing will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, and State Math Testing will be Wednesday and Thursday. Please ensure your child gets plenty of rest and arrives on time each morning so they can do their very best!
