Dress Code & Uniform Policy

Lake Shore Middle School is officially a full uniform school. All portions of the uniform are mandatory and must be worn properly, every day.

Uniform Requirements

Grade Level Polo Colors

6th Grade

Maroon

7th Grade

Black

8th Grade

Grey

Polo Shirts MUST have the official Lake Shore logo.

Uniform Bottom Colors (All Grades)

Black

Blue

Khaki

Bottoms include pants, shorts, or skorts.

All bottoms MUST be worn with a belt.

Shoes

Hart-bottom shoes

Closed-toe athletic shoes

Student IDs

Students will receive an initial ID free of charge. IDs must be worn around the neck on a lanyard at all times while on campus, on school transportation, and at school-sponsored events. The photo must remain visible and unobstructed.

All replacements are $5 PER ITEM (ID Card, ID Case, Lanyard).

Dress Code Reminders

To ensure a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment, all students are expected to follow the Lake Shore Middle School dress code while on campus.

The following items are NOT PERMITTED on campus:

  • Crocs

  • Flip-flops

  • Sandals

  • Shirts without the logo

  • Backless shoes

  • Hoodies

  • House shoes/slippers

  • Yeezy foam runners or similar open-heel footwear

  • Beanies

  • Hats

  • Lace bands

  • Bandanas

  • Bonnets

  • Scarves (unless worn for documented religious or medical purposes)

  • Body armor or protective-style vests that are not school-approved

We appreciate the partnership of our parents and guardians in helping students arrive at school dressed appropriately and ready to learn. Students who do not comply with the school's dress code may be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the Duval County Public Schools Student Code of Conduct.
