Teaching Future Leaders
Along with a rigorous academic curriculum, we teach your students how to be a future leader. Throughout the school year, students identify and set their own academic goals. They track their progress throughout the year, building confidence and skills along the way. Our students are smart and kind, and they enjoy academic learning at Mamie Agnes Jones. But they also learn other skills such as social etiquette, leadership, and communication.
A Rich School History
Mamie Agnes Jones is nestled in the town of Baldwin on the far west side of Duval County. We are a smaller school and have the distinct advantage of having the support of our local community. Now in our 6th decade, we continue to work to support our students as individuals in their learning and social growth and development

Mamie Agnes Jones Elementary has an active STEM program where students can extend their learning through scientific investigations and projects. Technology is infused in all areas of instruction, helping to prepare our students for their future learning and careers.
What Our Students Are Learning
Kindergarten and first grade students focus on personal leadership and being responsible for choices. Second and third graders have a community leadership focus with service learning projects. Students in the fourth and fifth grades focus on developing personal or small group projects that address the global needs of young children.

Safety Patrols
Patrols arrive at school early to present and raise our American Flag. They also recite the Pledge of Allegiance and our Safety Patrol Pledge.
National Elementary Honor Society
It is designed for all elementary schools and includes two primary functions: recognizing the accomplishments of students and involving students in activities
Drama Club
Students are given the opportunity to audition, practice, and then perform in a production before family and friends
