School Financial Report 2023-24
It is hard to believe that we have reached the end of the school year so quickly! We wish each scholar and family a safe summer break! Don't forget to keep your scholar in learning mode this summer- read and practice math skills with your child during the break! Just a reminder that Headstart/VPK dismissal begins at 11:30am and K-5 dismissal is at 12:00pm tomorrow. Have a great summer!
Friendly reminder: Today was the last day of Team Up. I apologize for the typo on the How Will My Child Get Home memo. Please ensure that the memo is returned to your child's teacher so that we can properly dismiss your scholar on Thursday and Friday afternoon as a car, bus rider or walker.

This week marks the last week of school in Duval County. A memo was sent home by your scholar's homeroom teacher last Thursday. Please ensure that we receive it by Tuesday so that we know how your child will get home during the last week of school. There will be no school on Monday, May 26th as we observe Memorial Day. On Tuesday, May 27th, we will host our annual 5th grade promotion ceremony at Edward H. White High School at 6:00pm. Wednesday, May 28th, we will host our 1st-4th grade end of year awards at 9:00am. The program will be available on Facebook Live. It is also our last day of the Team Up after school program. Friday will be our last day of school, and we will dismiss at noon. We ask that all car riders are picked up on time. Please make the necessary arrangements to pick up your scholars.

Good day, parents. This is a reminder that our 5th Grade Promotional Ceremony will take place today, May 27, 2025, at Ed. White High School. Students need to be at Ed. White no later than 5:30 PM.
Just as a reminder, the dress code for students is black and white attire.

Dear 5th grade parents, we invite you to a signing day event for our students, tomorrow, May 20th at 5:00 pm in the cafeteria. The event will feature music, a performance by our NVE dance and cheer team, and a special gift for attending 5th grade students. We look forward to seeing you.

This week at NVE we have our Sprit Day scheduled for Monday at 9:30am. Our scholars should wear their house colors to represent their house as they vie for House of the Year. On Tuesday at 5:00pm, we are hosting our 5th grade families for our Middle School Signing Night. Each student will receive a backpack filled with supplies to ensure they are 6th grade ready! On Wednesday, we are hosting our monthly Green Party at 1:30pm. Scholars who achieved the green on their state assessments will have a chance to dunk the principal and other teachers. Thursday, we have our VPK promotion Ceremony at 9:00am in the cafeteria. Our Kindergarten Promotion Ceremony will be on Friday at 9:00am. Please remember, we only have space for 2 guests per child for each ceremony.

Good morning NVE Families!
As many of you are aware, a large section of Normandy Village is under a boil water advisory due to work being done by the local utility agency, Normandy Village Utility Company.
This includes our school.
We are working to ensure there is minimal impact to staff and students.
For the duration of the advisory, bottled water will be provided as needed and will also be used in the preparation of school meals.
We have also worked out a system to ensure restroom use is not impacted.
As always, we will continue to do everything possible to ensure the best learning environment for our staff and students.

This is a special moment for our students—just like athletes have their signing day, so will they. Every student who attends will receive a gift to help them get ready for the upcoming school year.
Good morning Eagle Families! Our House Spirit Day is set for Monday, May 19th! Our students will engage in various field day activities from 9:00am-10:30am. Please help them show their House Spirit by purchasing a House Shirt for $10. Proceeds from House Shirts will help fund student incentives for the upcoming year.

Normandy Village's Testing Updates 4/28-5/2/25

Your scholar will bring home a parent survey that we need for our annual 5 Essentials Survey feedback. Right now, only 3% of our families have completed the survey but we need at least 20% participation to receive the results. Please complete the paper copy of the survey by Friday and return it with your scholar. They will receive a treat for turning it in. Please do not write their name on it. We will hand them their treat as they submit the survey in to the office. Thank you in advance for your feedback!
