Safety Patrols
Safety Patrols have been around in elementary schools since the 1920s. Although all elementary schools implement Safety Patrols, at Pickett Elementary character education is embedded into the program. By the time student leaders get to 5th grade, they have the opportunity to be safety patrols which gives them a hands-on approach to leadership. This prestigious honor allots students a chance to develop safety awareness around the school, teamwork, leadership, respect for laws, and pride in our campus.
