Northwest Side Hidden Gem

Nestled on the northwest side of Jacksonville, Pickett Elementary serves kindergarten through fifth grade, with a population of approximately 175 students. Our staff and educators are supportive, positive, and focused on the well-being and academic needs of all students.

Supportive, Challenging Education

Our key learning initiative is to increase student proficiency in all core subjects to ensure our students gain a solid academic foundation and are prepared to excel in middle school and beyond. By continuously monitoring student growth and supporting and challenging our students, we get closer to this goal every day.

Family-Oriented

Parents love the small, family-oriented feel of the school. Many of our parents and family members attended Pickett and love sharing their stories of when they attended the school.

Individualized Care

Students love Pickett because everyone knows each other. The staff knows the small population of students by name and their families. Students feel the care demonstrated daily from all of the Pickett staff.
