Music & Chorus
Where Students Find Their Voice
Students sing, move, and explore sound through a variety of interactive activities. They practice using their voices, keeping rhythm, and learning melodies.
Lessons often focus on specific skills, such as pitch, tone, breathing, and musical patterns, while still giving students freedom to express themselves through song. Students also have the opportunity to learn Orff instruments, such as xylophone and percussion, and vocals as well. They learn a range of music and then perform together as a group.
Students also listen to and discuss music, learning how to describe what they hear, and respond to it. Throughout the process, they build confidence, listening skills, and a strong sense of community.
