San Jose Elementary had a truly unforgettable moment this past school year when we welcomed Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan to our campus! Mayor Deegan spent time reading to our students, sharing her love for books, and encouraging young minds to dream big and stay curious.
Her visit was not only an honor—it was a powerful reminder of how much our community supports our children’s education. Our students were thrilled to listen, ask questions, and connect with a local leader who values literacy and lifelong learning. It was an inspiring and joyful day we won’t soon forget!
💚 Reflecting on a Remarkable School Year
We are filled with gratitude for all the memories made—from classroom transformations and field trips to student growth and community events. With the support of our amazing teachers, staff, families, and volunteers, our Pandas thrived in every way.
From academic progress to leadership opportunities, this year was packed with milestones and magic. Thank you, Panda families, for being such an essential part of our journey!
📅 Looking Ahead: A New School Year Full of Possibility
We are already preparing for another fantastic year at San Jose! As we look ahead to new learning adventures, special events, and opportunities for growth, we can’t wait to welcome our Pandas back to campus.
🗓️ Mark your calendars! The first day of school is Monday, August 11th.
We encourage families to enjoy the rest of summer, stock up on school supplies, and be ready for a strong, joyful start in August. We’re excited to create new memories together and continue building a school where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired.
Thank you again for a great year. Here’s to an even better one ahead. Go Pandas! 🐼
