Good afternoon and thank you all for an amazing 10th week of school! Here are some updates to start week number 11 off with a bang!
Arrival/Dismissal Reminders
- Car Riders: Please ensure you arrive by 3:10 to pick your student up at car riders. The car rider gate will close at 3:10 to ensure our teachers are able to leave by their contractual end time. Students who have not been picked up by 3:10 will be moved to the front office.
- Bus Update: The bus company is still working to get buses to and from San Jose on time. Most buses are arriving to the school by about 3:15/3:20. We also have transfer students coming in from other schools. This means buses have been leaving the school by about 3:30/3:40. We highly encourage parents to download the EduLog app to track your student’s bus. I will also continue to send messages if buses are leaving later than 3:45/4:00.
- Car Riders: Please make sure to have your car rider numbers visible on your dashboard to help car riders move as smoothly as possible.

- We are excited to continue our Real Men Read event this year in November. I will send out a sign up survey for anyone interested in volunteering to read. Any volunteers must have Level 1 Volunteer Clearance through Duval County Public Schools.
- Attendance: Please try your best to ensure your student is at school every day (unless they are sick). Students automatically earn BIZI Bucks for being present at school, and being here ensures they receive as much instruction as possible!

- Our amazing Parent Teacher Association will be taking the lead on some amazing events and fundraisers this year. Be on the look out for opportunities to volunteer and work with us to support our amazing students and teachers!
Positive Behavior Intervention Systems
- BIZI Update- Everyone is getting excited about BIZI. Students can earn BIZI bucks by showing good behavior and meeting behavior expectations. They can then spend those virtual bucks in the school BIZI store. We are so excited to be able to provide positive incentives for great behavior.
- Students will receive their orders this Friday (10/23).

Dear Panda Families,
San Jose Elementary School is excited to invite our fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other positive male role models to participate in our 6th Annual Real Men Read Event on Wednesday, November 18, 2026!
Real Men Read is a special tradition at San Jose Elementary that brings together positive male role models from our families and community to inspire a love of reading in our students. This event provides a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate the importance of literacy, education, and community involvement while making a lasting impact on our young Pandas!
We would love for you to join us as a guest reader and help make this event a memorable experience for our students!
