San Mateo Accelerated Academy fosters academic excellence for all students, emphasizing basic subjects, enrichment, and real-life experiences. We believe this foundation prepares students for success in advanced studies.
We want our students to remember San Mateo as a welcoming, supportive school and community that helped create their foundation and first experiences of education. We want them to remember the fun and enriching activities as elementary students that they were able to experience at San Mateo Elementary School. Once a Loyal Lion, Always a Loyal Lion!
We are excited to have an active PTA in place this year and will host many family engagement nights to bring information and resources to parents. We are looking forward to collaborating with parents and stakeholders through the School Advisory Council. We communicate with our parents through Thrillshare, our website, and Facebook page to give them the most up-to-date information.

The Loyal Lions Orff is a group dedicated to practicing and performing music using the fundamentals of the Orff Approach. This musical group uses a combination of singing, movement, drumming, and Orff instrumentation (glockenspiels, xylophones, metallophones) to perform a variety of different songs and student-created compositions. The approach in and of itself is crafted to assist children in the creation of music.
