This is part of the week-long celebration of Black History Month, which includes a showcase of the African American people, places and communities that have helped to shape Jacksonville.

Special thanks to Dr. Ken Williams (retired, Douglas Anderson School of the Arts), Chelsey Roberts (Music & Arts) and Ted Shistle (Jacksonville University) for coming out to work with the band. You can hear the Wind Ensemble perform at the District 17 Concert Music Performance Assessments on March 7th at 8:45pm at Mandarin High School.

Jarrett is the regional champion in Student Congress and Sadie is the regional champion in Dramatic Performance. Founded in 1976, Spirit of Atlanta is a non-profit youth arts organization that enriches young lives through the transformative power of music and performance. Located in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia, they are renowned for their bold, innovative shows and a culture that cultivates passion, discipline, and creativity. Aidan will travel the country competing against other drum corps and will finish the season at the World Championships in Indiana this coming August! Congrats Aidan!!

Drama club will present the student created and directed musical "The End of Ever After," on Monday, December 16th in the auditorium. This performance is free to all and will begin seating after school at 3:00. The performance will begin at 3:15.
