The Samuel Wolfson School for Advanced Studies Music Program is proud to be recognized by the Florida Music Education Association (FMEA) with the 2023-2024 School Enrollment Award. This distinction honors schools that demonstrate exceptional student participation in music education by maintaining a strong percentage of student enrollment in music courses. The award reflects Wolfson's commitment to providing high-quality music education and fostering a culture where students are encouraged to grow through performance, leadership, and artistic excellence.
About the Director
Cyriac Adjevi-Neglokpe is a passionate music educator, conductor, and singer dedicated to fostering deep musicianship and vocal excellence in the next generation of performers. He currently serves as the Choral Director at the Samuel Wolfson School for Advanced Studies in Jacksonville, Florida. A graduate of Jacksonville University, Cyriac earned his Bachelor of Music Education with a specialized emphasis on Choral and Vocal studies.
Since stepping into the position at Wolfson in the fall of 2022, he has focused on cultivating an environment rooted in rigorous musical literacy, using comprehensive pedagogical systems such as solfège and Takadimi to develop independent, literate student musicians. Under his direction, the Wolfson choral department has reached historic milestones, including leading the Bella Voce Singers to their first-ever "Superior with Distinction" rating at the State Music Performance Assessment. Cyriac Adjevi-Neglokpe is the 2026 recipient of The Lindsay Keller Rising Star Award awarded to a four- or five-year teacher who has maintained/or grown a program within the first five years of their teaching.
