Congratulations to our 2026-2027 Teacher of the Year, Teresa Carter!

We are so proud to celebrate an outstanding first-grade teacher who exemplifies passion, dedication, and a true love for teaching. Her hard work, unwavering commitment, and deep love for her students shine through in everything she does. Teresa believes that every child can succeed, and she goes above and beyond each day to create a positive, nurturing environment where her students feel loved, supported, and inspired to learn. With 33 years of teaching experience, her impact extends far beyond the classroom. She is a passionate advocate not only for her students, but also for their families and her fellow teachers. We are incredibly fortunate to have Teresa as part of our Thomas Jefferson Elementary family. She is truly deserving of this honor!
