Our top priority at TLAE is to ensure that all of our students remain safe while they are at school.
We have added new front door signage to reflect DCPS policies involving safety and security. Upon arriving at TLAE, all visitors will need to use the Push to Talk button located to the left of the front door and be ready to show a physical copy of their government issued ID and state their reason for visiting before being buzzed into the building.
A government issued ID can be any of the following: a valid Drivers License, State ID, Military ID, or Passport. We can no longer accept a photo of your ID on your phone.
We thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we implement these changes to ensure the safety and security of our building.

As a quick reminder, we will be hosting a Volunteer Orientation on Tuesday, August 26 at 6:00 in the cafeteria. This session will be important to attend if you plan on volunteering as there are new DCPS guidelines this year. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Don't forget to join us tonight for our Annual Title I Meeting at 5:30 and our PTA Meeting at 6:00. You will learn more about our Title I program and information about how you can help support our PTA. Can't wait to see you tonight!

Mark your calendars and join us on August 21st for our Annual Title I Meeting at 5:30. You will learn more about our Title I program and requirements. Can't wait to see you there!

Dear Twin Lakes Academy Elementary Families,
Welcome to a brand-new school year! We are so excited to see our students back on campus and are looking forward to a fantastic year of learning and growth. As we begin the first week of school, we want to remind all families about our morning arrival and afternoon dismissal procedures. These routines are designed to ensure the safety and well-being of all students, staff, and families. Please keep the following in mind:
Morning Arrival
• School doors open at 8:00.
• Please do not drop students off before this time, as supervision will not be available.
• Use the designated car rider line and follow staff directions to keep traffic flowing smoothly.
Afternoon Dismissal
• Dismissal begins at 2:45. Please be patient as we work to safely match each student with their ride.
• Have your car tag clearly visible to help staff identify your child quickly.
• Walkers and bike riders will be dismissed after car riders to reduce congestion and ensure safety.
The first week always comes with a few bumps as everyone adjusts to new routines. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding as we work through the process. Our top priority is the safety of every child, and with your cooperation, we can make arrival and dismissal as smooth and efficient as possible.
Thank you for your continued support and for being a valued part of the Twin Lakes Academy Elementary community. Let’s make it a great year!
Warm regards,
Julie Ehrenberg
Principal, Twin Lakes Academy Elementary

Good evening, Wildcat Families!
We have had such an amazing time hosting our Meet and Greets the past two days. The turnout was more than we could have hoped for, and you all may have even broken the record for the number of families that have come to Meet and Greet at Twin Lakes! Ya'll Rock!
There are a couple of updates I wanted to share with you about extended day and buses.
1. Extended Day - Ms. Mauger would like to remind everyone that Extended Day registration does not roll from year to year. If you wish for your student to be enrolled in the Extended Day Program, you will need to do so through Eleyo. The link to the registration process is: https://dcps.duvalschools.org/o/dcps/page/2025-2026-extended-day-registration. These spots fill up fast, so if you have not registered and plan for your student to be in Extended Day on Monday, please register as soon as possible.
2. Buses - There were several issues with the bus routes today, especially concerning Bus 65 and Bus 640. I am pleased to say that these issues have been fixed. Bus 65 will have all the same afternoon stops as it does in the morning. Bus 640 will no longer be servicing Twin Lakes; however, the new bus that will pick up those stops is Bus 528. This bus will stop at the following locations: Lamb Tail Ln @ Woodspring Suites, Cabana Club, Stonebridge Condos, and Courtney Meadows. Please email Ms. Strickland at stokera@duvalschools.org if you would like specific stop times before Monday.
3. Don't forget, we are having a backpack drive at school tomorrow from 10:00-12:00, sponsored by Baggett Law. Please come out and pick up a new backpack filled with school supplies! Share this with all your friends, as you do not have to attend Twin Lakes Elementary to take part. There will also be free ice cream, activities, and prizes!
Again, thank you all for being such an amazing group of Wildcats! We love you all!
