UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS


  • POLO/DRESS SHIRTS

    • SOLID black, gray, deep red (burgundy), or white with school logo embroidered on it.

  • SKIRTS/DRESSES/PANTS

    • NO plaid, faux leather, plastic skirts, dresses or pants.

  • SKIRTS/SHORTS/SKORTS

    • NO rips, frays, or holes. Must be proper length. Colors: Solid grey, deep red (burgundy) or khaki.

  • BOOKBAGS/PURSES

    • Clear or mesh backpack ONLY. Purses must be no larger than a standard sheet of paper (8.5" x 11").

  • PANTS/BOTTOMS

    • SOLID grey, deep red (burgundy), or khaki chino or dress pants. NO denim/jeans, joggers, leggings, yoga pants, or sweatpants are allowed. NO two colors or faded, with holes, frays or rips are allowed.

  • OUTERWEAR

    • Jackets, coats, cardigans, and sweaters MUST have school logo embroidered on it. NO sweatshirt over uniform shirt. NO hoodies. NO dickies jackets. NO headscarves/bandanas. NO hats.

  • SHOES

    • NO crocs, foam runners, slides, bedroom shoes, flip-flops, or backless shoes are to be worn on campus.

*Starting 2025/2026 school year: NO black uniform or jean bottoms can be worn. No jeans (or jean-like material). No Denim. No Dungaree material bottoms can be worn.

Congratulations to Lauryn Taylor, for placing as Runner-Up for Duval County in the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. Her artwork is on display at the Duval County Courthouse. Last year her artwork was on display at the Clay County Courthouse. 6 Raines students entered their artwork in this competition.

Hello Team Duval Families! Bus registration for the 2025-26 school year is now open! Registration is required for any student riding the bus in the 2025-26 school year – that includes students in self-contained ESE programs. The earlier you register, the better. Registration forms are in Focus, but you can head to www.duvalschools.org/busregistration first to find simple registration directions.

William M Raines Community ED Program After School Classes meet Mondays & Wednesdays 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Course offerings include Black History, Culinary Science, Drivers Education, Marriage Counseling, Sign Language, Basic Computer, and Basic Sewing. (Raines HS) The cost is $85.00 for all courses except Drivers Ed ($180.00) payable at the time of registration. Shoutout to our Raines JROTC Cadets!!! In a little over a week they were able to plan and conduct a clothing drive where they collected over 60 jackets and coats, as well as several blankets and other clothing items to present to the students of GWC. It was an emotional morning for two outstanding educators! Principal Vincent Hall of Raines High School and Assistant Principal Daniel Sapp Jr. of Ramona Boulevard Elementary learned they had been selected as the 2025 Principal of the Year and Assistant Principal of the Year, respectively. After recovering from the surprise announcements, both educators tearfully thanked their staff, students and families! Join us in congratulating these amazing school leaders!
