A Dedicated Magnet School for the Gifted and Academically Talented
Jacksonville Beach Elementary is a public dedicated magnet school for gifted and academically talented students. As stated in the school’s mission, the school environment fosters academic excellence and high expectations for all students and is focused on the whole child.
With its maintained focus on the whole child, JBE implements strategies and innovative programs to facilitate the growth of students’ academic, social/emotional, and cultural knowledge. The main crux of the academic environment is the delivery of gifted curriculum and programming to ensure that students are being exposed to activities that will challenge them beyond typical expectations.
An Expectation for Excellence
At JBE, students are challenged to reach their maximum academic potential and develop into responsible school citizens. Learning opportunities are structured to provide appropriate differentiation and rigor for students at all levels of achievement. Students’ social and emotional needs are recognized and supported through intentional instruction. The education of students at JBE is a true collaboration between all school community members, and the expectation for excellence is shared!

JBE Buddy Program
Matches upper- and lower-grade students with each other to provide peer support.
100 Mile Club
Hosts weekly runs before school. All students are invited to participate.
