The City of Jacksonville is mobilizing in response to the impending threat of potential hurricane Helene. In response to the safety threat posed by the storm and the City’s need for shelters: Duval County Public Schools will cease normal operations for students at the conclusion of the early release school day, Wednesday, Sept. 25. Schools will be closed Sept. 26th -27th. As of now, school will resume on Monday, Sept. 30th.
