CELEBRATING SCHOOL COUNSELORS — Team Duval is proud to recognize National School Counseling Week and the incredible impact our more than 240 school counselors make every single day. They advocate for students, help them navigate their academic journeys, and guide them toward their goals. Our success as an A-rated district with a 97.6% graduation rate would not be possible without these dedicated professionals. As part of this special week, dozens of counselors gathered at the Schultz Center for their annual conference, focused on building student “superpowers” like grit and resilience – perfectly aligned with the national theme of helping students thrive and preparing them for college, career, and life. Their commitment to growing their own “superpowers” directly fuels student success across Team Duval. Join us in thanking our outstanding school counselors for the lasting difference they make in our schools and community!

Good Afternoon,
Crystal Springs Elementary's School Advisory Council Meeting will take place on Thursday April 23, 2026, in the Media Center at 8:10am.
Thank you.
With the multiple wildfires occurring in and around Jacksonville, I want you to know that we are closely monitoring the Air Quality to ensure that it is safe for our students, faculty, and staff to go outside for recess and PE. Please know that we will always air on the side of caution as our students, faculty, and staffs safety and well-being are always our priority! If the air quality is deemed unhealthy, students will have inside recess and inside PE.
I appreciate your continued support!

Good afternoon Crystal Springs Families!
I wanted to let you know that multiple schools in Duval County, including Crystal Springs, have received anonymous phone calls of a threat being made where someone was armed in the parking lot. District and school police are very aware and are handling this situation with JSO. Our officer, Officer Steve and I, have been monitoring the perimeter non-stop. We are monitoring all parking lots continuously and no one is out there that should not be. All faculty, staff, and students are safe and in their classrooms with instruction and learning continuing. Please do not feel that you need to come pick your child(ren) up as, again, they are safe and learning continues. Recess and PE will be inside the rest of the day! I will continue to keep you posted if anything changes. Thank you!

**New procedure when students are late to school- after 8:30AM**
Good morning Crystal Springs Families,
We will be adjusting the system of how to drop late students off. Starting Tuesday, March 24th, when students come back from Spring Break, if your child arrives after 8:30AM, you will need to park and walk your student to the main office to sign them in. As a reminder, students can arrive on campus from 8:00-8:30 as instruction begins immediately following arrival. It is imperative that arrangements are made to have your child arrive on time to school as after four (4) tardies, you will be required to attend a meeting to develop a plan to get your child to school on time.
Again, starting Tuesday, March 24th, when students come back from Spring Break, if your child arrives after 8:30AM, you will be required to park and walk your student to the main office to sign them in so we have record of an adult dropping them off.
We appreciate you working in partnership with us!

This is a friendly reminder that the St. Vincent's Mobile Health Unit will be at Charger Academy on Wednesday, March 18th from 9AM to 12PM.
With Spring Break approaching, this is a great opportunity for students and families to access convenient health services (physicals and immunizations) during the break. Thank you in advance for helping us spread the word.

I just wanted to let you know that our phones are up and working! Have an amazing Thursday!
Principal Session (St. Amand)
I just wanted to let you know that the phone system is out at Crystal Springs and across the school district. It is NOT affecting anything in the classrooms or the school. It is business as usual. We will see you at dismissal!
Principal Session (St. Amand)
I hope your day is going well!! I wanted to let everyone know that we had an unplanned fire drill today. We have two fire alarm sensors that malfunction causing the fire alarms to go off for about 8 minutes. Faculty, staff, and students did a phenomenal job evacuating to their assigned locations. It is always our priority to keep our faculty, staff, and students safe! I wanted to let you know in case your child comes home today and talks to you about it. Again, it was a sensor malfunction and no fire occurred. I hope everyone has a great rest of your day!
Principal Session (St. Amand)
As we edge closer to Valentine's Day on Saturday, I want to please request that all stuffed animals, candy gifts, balloons, flowers, etc be given to your child on Valentine's Day, Saturday. Any aforementioned gifts brought or delivered to the school, will be held in the main office until dismissal so not to be an instructional distraction. Thank you so much! Have a great day!
