Deployment Support:

  • Yellow Ribbons: We invite the service member to the school to tie a ribbon on a tree before deploying and to remove the ribbon upon their return. The child’s entire homeroom class takes part in this brief but meaningful ceremony. Please contact the CYB-MFLC at the number listed above if you have an upcoming deployment.

  • Deployment Group: This takes place once a week from 8:00-8:25 (before the start of classroom instruction). Children who participate in Deployment Group must have a signed consent form* to work with the CYB-MFLC.

  • Anchored 4 Life support (see below).

Moving Support:

  • Individual and/or group support prior to the move (with a signed consent form* to work with the CYB-MFLC).

  • Help integrating new students to Stockton with Anchored 4 Life (see below).

  • Anchored 4 Life support (see below).

Lunch Bunch:

  • This is for every military student who has a signed consent form to work with the School CYB-MFLC. Lunch Bunch takes place once a week during your child’s regularly scheduled lunchtime. This is a chance for your child to connect with other military kids in their same grade level

Anchored 4 Life:

A peer-to-peer club to connect youth while building change and resiliency skills. Please see the following link for more information on this resource: https://anchored4life.com/

Veterans Day Recognition:

  • Flag Raising: Stockton holds a flag raising ceremony every November dedicated to honoring Veterans. Family members with current or former military service are invited and encouraged to attend.

  • Classroom lessons and activities: Teachers are given the opportunity to host a lesson and activity on Veterans Day with their homerooms.

Month of the Military Child:

April is the Month of the Military Child, and Stockton celebrates the kids in various ways throughout the month. Two consistent celebrations for this month include:

  • Purple Up Day: Purple is the color of the military child, and Stockton designates a day to encourage all students and staff to dress in purple.

  • PTA-Sponsored Doughnut Breakfast for Military Kids.

Service Projects Connecting the Student Body to Military-Connected Personnel:

  • Anchored 4 Life hosts December holiday card-making workshops for Veterans at the VA Hospital.

  • *Consent forms for the CYB-MFLC program can be obtained from the Stockton CYB-MFLC. Please contact the school or contact the Stockton CYB-MFLC directly at 904-489-1687 (phone number not active during summer break).
