Greetings MAJ Families!
I hope everyone enjoyed the Thanksgiving break and had an opportunity to spend time with family and friends.
We have a busy and important week ahead as we begin our PM2 state assessments this week. Kindergarten – 2nd grade students will take the STAR reading and math assessments and 3rd – 5th grade students will take the FAST reading and math. We are asking for your support in making sure they are well rested and come to school on time each day and encouraging them to do their best. We are excited to see how far they have come since the beginning of the year!
Students are invited to participate in holiday dress up days through the month of December. Dress days for this week are as follows: Monday – wear a holiday T-shirt, Tuesday – wear green and/or red, Wednesday – wear blue and white, Thursday – wear a beanie hat and scarf, and Friday – wear a plaid/flannel shirt.
This Tuesday, December 2nd will be a picture makeup day for any students who have not already had their picture taken, or if you purchased a package, but would like to have a new picture taken.
Keep an eye out for information about two upcoming activities: our amazing PTO will sponsor Santa’s workshop next week and our patrols will host breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 13th.
Our December School Advisory Council (SAC) meeting will be held next Monday, December 8th, at 4:45 PM. SAC meetings are open to all and are an excellent opportunity to learn more about what is happening at our school and provide input to help us to continue improving.
As always, we thank you for partnering with us in your child’s education as we are Blasting Off to Reach New Goals!!! We look forward to seeing all our students tomorrow morning!
