We love that our families want to spend time with their children during lunch! At this time, our cafeteria space is limited and available for students only. We are currently working to obtain additional seating that will allow Level 1 and Level 2 volunteer-cleared parents and guardians to enjoy lunch with their child in a separate designated area. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to create a welcoming space for our families. We will share an update once the additional seating is available."

• Boy Scouts will be having an interest meeting on Wednesday, September 2 at 6:00 pm. Come hear how to join and be part of the Scouts.

• Support our fundraiser by spreading the word to 10 or more friends and family through email, text, and social media! Our fundraising goal is $4000. Packets were sent home last week. Check your child's backpack for the information.

• Update to Walker Dismissal - Beginning Monday, August 31st, walkers will be dismissed out the front door. They will no longer go to the bus loop area. Upon exiting the building, walker parents stand to the right along the sidewalk or meet your student at the crosswalk.

• Wednesday, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will take the FAST Math PM 1 assessment. Please ensure they are present and on time.

• Open House is Thursday, September 3 from 5:30-6:30. This is a great opportunity to meet the teacher, ask questions and learn how to support your student. The PTA will be selling popsicles for $1.00 during Open House.

• 904 Day - Join us in representing the 904 by wearing your best Jags Swag on Friday, 9/4. Duuuvvval!

Today is the day! Fundraiser packets went home today and students are super excited! Register, Share your link with family and friends, Shop, and Support! All proceeds go to student rewards and incentives for the 26-27 school year. Help us reach our goal!

NVE Weekly Update 8/24-8/28

This week our 1st-5th grade students are taking the STAR/FAST PM 1 ELA assessment. Please ensure that students are present and ON TIME.

Our Charleston Wrap Fall Fundraiser is almost here! Get ready to shop beautiful wrapping paper, gifts, home items, and more—all while supporting our school and students. Our fundraiser officially kicks off Wednesday, August 26th!

📣 More details coming soon! All profits will go toward student academic rewards and incentives.

Friday was BIZI Payday! Students can shop online in the BIZI store to make their purchases. All shopping needs to be done by Thursday. Students will receive their ordered items on Friday.

We encourage all families to join the PTA this year. Our PTA plays a vital role in supporting our students, staff, and school community. One of the best ways to get involved is by volunteering. The first step is to complete the volunteer approval process. You can apply online through the DCPS Volunteer Application.

Additionally, please make sure you have created your parent account and linked your student(s). This will allow you to communicate directly with your child's teacher and receive important school information, updates, and announcements throughout the year.
