Good afternoon Knights! We hope everyone is staying safe and dry.
Next week, Monday 9/30 to Friday 10/4 is Jax Goes to College Week! Our School Counselors have planned a fun week of events and activities for students to participate in. These events will run through our Knight Time (Homeroom) classes. See the picture attached here for an overview of the week and please encourage your student to engage and participate!
In addition, The NACAC College Fair is scheduled for Saturday, October 5th from 9 am until 1 pm at the Prime Osborn Convention Center. We encourage Knight families to attend and learn more about college opportunities!
Good afternoon Knights! A few important reminders:
-Tomorrow Wednesday 9/25 is Early Release for students. Please ensure your student knows how they are getting home.
-No School Thursday 9/26 & Friday 9/27. We hope everyone stays safe during the storm!
-Quarter 1 Progress Reports are in Focus. This is a good time to stop and remind students of expectations for grades and attendance, while we still have a few weeks to go. Please reach out to teachers or counselors with any questions or concerns.

Students received copies of the contest guidelines from their Knight Time (Homeroom) teachers. Please encourage your student to participate and submit an entry!
Entries must be submitted by Wed 9/25 at 5 pm.

Friendly reminder, our 24-25 Open House at Southside Middle School is tonight, August 27th, from 5:30-7:00 pm. Parents, guardians, and caregivers are invited to tour classrooms, meet teachers, and hear about exciting activities and opportunities happening here at SMS this year.
We hope you'll also make plans to arrive early at 5 pm for our August SAC meeting, taking place in room 4-3. We would love your input and representation on this important committee this year! Students with an adult caregiver in attendance will receive a dress down band.
