Hello, Venetia Families!

Tomorrow is the day we get to welcome all of our wonderful students back! We are so excited to begin a new school year together. Although we are in a different location, we are still the same Venetia Family! Our staff has worked tirelessly to ensure our school is ready for Day 1 of learning.

We are especially proud to enter this school year as an A-Rated School in an A-Rated School District!🎉

🌱 FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL REMINDERS

* Doors open at 8:30 AM. School begins promptly at 9:00 AM, and the first bell rings at 8:55 AM.
* Families may walk students to their classroom or holding area on Day 1 only.
*Kindergarten & 1st Grade: Students will report directly to their classrooms when they arrive.
*2nd–4th Grade: Students will report to the cafeteria.
*5th Grade: Students will report to the Media Center.
*A-B-Cs of Dismissal: This school year, dismissal options are Afterschool Care (Extended Day), Bus Riders, and Car Riders only. There will be no walkers or bike riders.
*Car Line: Just like at our previous location, families may not park and walk up. Please remain in your vehicle while going through the car line.
*Car Riders: Please join the end of the car line on Dayton Road. Do not cut into the line from Lane Avenue. We will work as quickly and efficiently as possible to keep the line moving. Please be patient and give us grace as we navigate our new location together.

Extended Day Hours:
⏰AM: 7:00 AM-8:30 AM
⏰PM: 3:30 PM-6 PM

We cannot wait to see all of our wonderful students for this school year. Meet & Greets start tomorrow for kindergarten through 2nd grade and Friday for 3rd through 5th grade. Check Focus for your child's Homeroom Teacher.

🚗🚌📚 **The ABCs of Dismissal at Venetia Elementary!** 📚🚌🚗

A smooth dismissal starts with knowing your child's dismissal plan! Please review our **ABCs of Dismissal**:

🅰️ **A – Afterschool Care (Extended Day)**
Students attending Extended Day **must be registered** prior to participating. Download the PikMyKid App for announcing students in Extended Day.

🅱️ **B – Bus Transportation**
Students assigned to bus transportation will be dismissed to their designated bus each afternoon. You can view on PikMyKid when they are dismissed from the school.

🅲 **C – Car Riders**
Car riders will be dismissed through our car line. Please have your car rider tag visible (with three digit number from PikMyKid) and be patient as we work to ensure every child is dismissed safely. You will join the end of the line on Dayton Street. DO NOT cut in line when turning from Lane Ave. Download the PikMyKid App for announcing students in Car Riders.

🚨 **Important Reminders:**
• Please make sure your child's dismissal method is consistent.
• If a dismissal change is necessary, notify in writing in the agenda or via PikMyKid. The school's designated cutoff time is 2 PM in PikMyKid.
• Our goal is a safe, efficient, and orderly dismissal for every student.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL - The countdown is on — just ONE month until the first day of school on Monday, Aug. 10. Take small steps now to get ready: Adjust sleep schedules a little each week, gather school supplies and organize backpacks, keep learning going with 20 minutes of reading or math each day, mark important school dates on your family calendar, and start practicing morning routines. We can't wait to welcome everyone back for another amazing year!

**🌱 Community & Parent Volunteer Day at Venetia Elementary! 🌿**

It takes a village to help our school thrive, and we'd love your support!

We're looking for parents, families, community members, and local partners to join us for a **Campus Beautification Volunteer Day**. Together, we'll help make our campus an even more welcoming place for our students and staff.

Volunteer projects include:

* Planting flowers and refreshing our garden beds
* Raking leaves and clearing outdoor areas
* General grounds maintenance and beautification
* Light landscaping and campus cleanup
*NEEDED: Any parent/community partner with a weed eater and/or pressure washer. If you have those items, it would be great if you could bring them to use in a few areas.

Whether you can volunteer for an hour or the entire event, your time and talents will make a meaningful difference.
