Hello Chimney Lakes Families & Care Givers, It wouldn't be a regular school year without something new to learn...right? The new DCPS app will be WONDERFUL when all of the parts are working and everyone knows how to work them. We are sharing some photos with you to help you through this process. Here are some steps to get you started: *Download the DCPS App by going to your App Store on your cell phone. Search for "Duval County, FL". There you will find the DCPS logo. *Click "Menu" to have the tabs off to the left opened. *Click the arrow next to "Duval County Public Schools" and select "Chimney Lakes Elementary" as a school you follow. You would do the same for any other school your children attend. You will have to go in between the schools to see the live feed. The DCPS feed will feed into our Chimney Lakes feed. *Then, hit "Parent Portal", but you will need to do the OneView login as "Parents, Guardians" with your username and password you used to link your FOCUS account. You should only have to do this once to set it up. *Go back to the "Home" feature. At the bottom right of the app, you will see "School App" or "Rooms". The school app is our CLE Live Feed with important dates and notices. The "Rooms" page is the classroom app. This is where you would communicate back and forth with the teacher. This section is kind of like Bloomz and/or Class Dojo were for you in the past. *To log into Rooms, you will need to click the picture that looks like the Duval County Public Schools logo (looks like a bridge). The app will take you to the page that looks like our regular log in. *PikMyKid is also active. Just like the FOCUS portion of the app, you will need to log in, but once you've done so, it should be set for the year. I hope this helps in getting the information and resources you need for a smooth start to the year. Sincerely, Principal Marianne Lee

CLE Families & Care Givers, We wanted to make sure you had plenty of time to adjust to a change in the dismissal pattern at CLE. While the front drive was never an option, some did use it. Due to our VPK dismissal, this will not be an option. Only VPK students will be dismissed from the front of the school. Day Care Vans will move to the back of the building, near buses. Cars and Walkers/Park and Pick Up will remain the same. VPK parents will have a special car pass for the front drive. Mrs. Hawkins will have those during Orientation. Car Riders: Don't forget to get your car tags for your car. This makes dismissal go so much faster.

Hello Chimney Lakes Families & Care Givers, Now is the time to join PikMyKid! All dismissal methods will use PikMyKid this year, including Extended Day. You can find the PikMyKid app in the NEW DCPS App. This new app will house all apps that the district uses in ONE place! YAY! Only about 65% of our parents are on PikMyKid and safety is a top priority! I've uploaded an image of the app for you. Go to your Apple App Store and Google Store to download. Look for "Duval County, FL". Don't get tricked by the old DCPS app by typing in Duval County Public Schools . You will be able to see school, class and district communication through this app. In addition, you will use FOCUS, PikMyKid and much more!
