Thank you to everyone who attended our Family Fit Math Night last Thursday. We had a wonderful turnout.
These next two messages are from our wonderful PTA. “Great job Panthers! We were able to surpass our $5,000 goal. Students with still due collectibles will receive them this week. Notification as to when candy orders can be picked up will be coming soon. More details on when the Game Truck Party will be taking place is also coming soon.
On Friday, February 14th, the PTA will be hosting a Mommy and Me Valentine's Day Breakfast. Event times are 7:15 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. This is a free event, but you must RSVP by Feb 12th to participate. Come enjoy a cozy breakfast, fun activities, and quality time with your little one. Flyers will be sent home this week.”

This week at Crown Point, we will be celebrating literacy each day. A flyer with specific information has been posted to the DCPS app as well as our social media pages. We are looking forward to a fun-filled week.
Please join us this Monday evening at 5:30 for our monthly school advisory council meeting.
This next message is from our wonderful PTA. “Thank you for your participation in the Gourmet Candy fundraiser. With the current online sales and order forms turned in this week, we are at over 85% of our $5,000 goal. Good job Panthers! There's still time to sell and participate in the Game Truck Party. You just have to sell 10 items or reach your personal goal of $100 in sales. The deadline has been extended until tomorrow at 11:59pm. All money and completed order forms should be brought in tomorrow as well. In addition to the fundraiser, please know that the PTA will have their first general meeting of 2025 tomorrow, following the 5:30pm SAC meeting. Come find out what the PTA has planned for the rest of the school year. There will be refreshments and a raffle.”
This Wednesday is an Early Dismissal day. Dismissal procedures begin at 1:00.
This Thursday evening, please join us for our Family Fit Math Night from 6:00 to 7:00. Wear your athletic gear and come ready for a great time. The event will be held in the multi-purpose room just in case we still have cold weather.

This next message is from our amazing PTA. “We're almost there! With a little less than 1 week left, we are just about 40% of the way to our goal with online sales. Good job to those making the sales to gain access to the Food Truck Party! Remember, you need to sell 10 items. The deadline is January 24th. Good luck!”
Our next School Advisory Council meeting will be on Monday evening, January 27th at 5:30. It will be followed by a PTA meeting.

Be on the lookout for the Gourmet Candy fundraiser packet. Our PTA has kicked-off this fundraiser and proceeds will benefit our Leader In Me program and genius groups. With 10 sales, your student will gain access to the Game Truck Party! This fundraiser runs until January 24th.

Please remember that there is no school for students on Monday, January 6th due to it being a teacher planning day. We are excited to see our students when they return on Tuesday, January 7th.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have to cancel Morning Mile and GORUCK until further notice. If your child is part of this program, you should be receiving information from Mrs. Bickle as well.

This week is our last week of winter holiday dress up days. On Monday, wear a Grinch or green shirt. On Tuesday, wear holiday hats or headbands. On Wednesday, wear a silly/ugly holiday sweater. On Thursday, wear your cowboy/girl hats, boots, jeans, and holiday cheer. On Friday, wear holiday pajamas.
We would like to thank everyone who volunteered in our Winterland Holiday Shoppe this past week. It was all our volunteers who made this year’s holiday shoppe so successful.
This Wednesday is an early dismissal day.
Winter Break this year is from December 23rd through January 3rd. There is a teacher workday on Monday, January 6th, so students will return from winter break on Tuesday, January 7th.

Good Afternoon Crown Point Families,
This is Principal Hartley with your updates for the week of December 9th.
Our safety patrols will be kicking off a candy cane gram fundraiser on Monday. Information regarding this fundraiser will be sent home on Monday as well. Students and families will have the opportunity to send a sweet message along with a sweet treat during the holiday season. Each gram will be $1 and grams will be delivered to students on Friday, December 20th. The sale only lasts one week, so be sure to get your order in.
Our holiday dress up days continue this week. On Monday, wear a holiday shirt. On Tuesday, wear red and white. On Wednesday, wear holiday socks. On Thursday, wear festive bling. On Friday, wear tropical holiday clothes.
The Winterland Holiday Shoppe is this week. Our students will have a chance to purchase holiday gifts for family and friends. Each class has been given a time to visit the shoppe between Monday and Thursday of this week. Anyone who misses their day or does not have money the day they are assigned will get a chance to visit Friday as we have scheduled it as a make-up shopping day. We also need volunteers to aid students with their purchases and break down the shop on Friday afternoon. Please contact the PTA to sign up.
Please join us Thursday evening from 6:00-7:00 for our Reading Under the Stars Night.
Next Wednesday, December 18th is an early dismissal day.

School Showcase Saturday!
This event is designed to help families make the best enrollment decisions for their children for the 2025-26 school year. Crown Point Elementary will be open on Saturday December 7th, 2024 for tours at 9:00 AM, 10:45 AM, 12:30 PM, and 2:00 PM. Families will have a chance to meet school leaders and staff, ask questions, and attend school tours.


Join us for our Winter Family Title 1 Event, "Reading Under the Stars". Bring your families, wear your jammies, and plan to have a night of family fun!

Beginning this Monday through the Friday before Winter Break, we will have holiday dress up days each day. Here are the dress up days for this week. On Monday, dress like an elf. On Tuesday, wear red and green. On Wednesday, wear blue and white. On Thursday, wear a beanie and scarf. On Friday, wear a plaid/flannel shirt.
These next few messages are from our amazing PTA. The next All Pro Dad meeting will be taking place this Monday, December 2nd from 7:15am to 8:15am. This is an opportunity for our kids to showcase their dads (or father figures) and strengthen their relationships. Light refreshments will be served.
You can now order your Wintertime Spirit Wear. Purchases can be placed online through the PTA's website or by sending cash back with the order form sent home.
The Winterland Holiday Shoppe is returning December 9th to 13th. Our students will have a chance to purchase holiday gifts for family and friends. We also need volunteers to help set up the room, aid students with their purchases, and break down the shop. Please contact the PTA to sign up.

Good Afternoon Crown Point Families,
This is Principal Hartley with your updates for the week of November 18th.
This Monday, November 18th, is make-up picture day. Information was sent home, but if you have any questions, please call the main office and ask to speak to Ms. Kane.
The last PTA General Meeting for 2024 will be taking place this Monday, November 18th @ 6pm following the SAC meeting. There will be a raffle and refreshments served. Additionally, this is the last week to purchase a SaveAround Jacksonville discount book. Proceeds will go to support our Safety Patrols and our library.
This Wednesday, November 20th, is an early dismissal day. Dismissal will begin at 1:00.
There is no school Wednesday, November 27th through the 29th, as we break for the Thanksgiving holiday.
