The FORT is still in the GREEN 🟢 and we are making GREAT strides as we continue building a culture where EVERY DAY COUNTS! 📚✨

📚 Fort Caroline Elementary’s faculty and staff are learning and growing together through a schoolwide book study of "If Instruction Isn’t Engaging, I Quit" by Vincent Taylor.
We chose this book because it offers practical strategies that begin with what educators can do to engage students behaviorally, emotionally, and cognitively. When students aren’t engaged, they can begin to lose interest in learning—even in the early grades. Together, we’re reflecting on how to make learning meaningful and engaging for every student!
A heartfelt thank-you to Vincent Taylor for sharing his wisdom and expertise with us! It’s an honor for the FCE team to grow together while reading your book. 🙏

- Cranberry sauce - Mashed potatoes
- Canned gravy - Mac and cheese
- Corn bread mix - Canned greens or green beans
- Boxed cake mix & icing - White rice
- Canned corn - Canned yams
- Stuffing

Our kindergarteners turned learning into a feast of fun today by using spaghetti to build sentences! 🍝
Hands-on learning is powerful at this stage, bending and placing tactile "pasta" lines helps young learners visually grasp sentence structure, improve spatial awareness, and strengthen the fine motor muscles needed for pencil grip. By breaking down writing into an interactive, multi-sensory activity, our students build confidence, boost letter formation skills, and develop a genuine love for literacy!

Also, our school counseling lessons this month will incorporate character with a career connection, emphasizing the importance of interests and abilities when making college and career decisions.
