🎮 Minecraft Builders Wanted!
Auditions are OPEN for the New Jax City Minecraft Build Challenge! Loretto Elementary is searching for creative 3rd–5th graders to help defend our title as reigning champions. 🏆✨
🧱 Round 1: Create your best build inspired by the Riverside Arts Market theme and submit screenshots or a short video along with the audition form.
The challenge:
Design a sustainable and resilient agriculture hub and farmers’ market space under the freeway that is:
Publicly accessible
Celebrates local agriculture, businesses, artists, and vendors
Includes design elements for all parts of the food system: Production, Distribution, Access, & Waste/Recovery
Focused on environmental stewardship and sustainability
This hub and market should be a vibrant gathering space where people can connect, shop, relax, and learn about the local food system—while actively protecting the environment and supporting a sustainable future.
Tips:
You should search for the world New Jax City in the Minecraft Education library. Once there, after you speak to Ms. Greene, choose "agriculture." Using the information you read on jacksonville.gov/minecraft, spend approximately 30 minutes building something at Riverside Arts Market that demonstrates your understanding of this build challenge. This does NOT have to be a full build.
Use the Snipping Tool or Stream (found in OneView --> My Apps --> Stream), or a similar tool to screen record your build OR take screen shots.

CELEBRATING SCHOOL COUNSELORS — Team Duval is proud to recognize National School Counseling Week and the incredible impact our more than 240 school counselors make every single day. They advocate for students, help them navigate their academic journeys, and guide them toward their goals. Due to the passing of one of our beloved school family members, the Literacy Week Career Parade scheduled for Friday has been cancelled.
Students are still welcome to wear their career costumes to school, and we know they will enjoy sharing them with their classmates. We appreciate your understanding and support.
