Matthew Gilbert Middle School Community Partnership School began the New Year refreshed, refocused, and recommitted to serving our students, families, and community. This season offers us an opportunity to reflect on where we’ve been and renew our dedication to the work ahead, ensuring every student has the support, resources, and opportunities needed to thrive.
As we honored the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we were reminded of his enduring dream rooted in equity, justice, and collective responsibility. In that spirit, we continue to align our CHS mission and purpose with meaningful action, providing integrated services that strengthen communities, support families, and empower our students to reach their fullest potential. His vision challenges us not only to dream, but to serve with intention and compassion.
As we move forward into the New Year, we remain committed to fostering strong partnerships, uplifting family voices, and creating a school environment where wellness, learning, and opportunity are accessible to all. Together, we will continue building a connected community grounded in hope, service, and shared success.
Staff and faculty at Matthew Gilbert recently took time to pause, recharge, and refocus during a Wellness Reset held in the CHS HUB. This intentional wellness experience was designed to support the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of our dedicated educators and school professionals.
During the reset, participants received practical wellness tips and strategies to help manage stress, restore balance, and stay energized throughout the workday. From simple mindfulness techniques to healthy habits that can be incorporated between classes and meetings, the session emphasized the importance of self-care in sustaining a positive and productive school environment.
To further show appreciation for our hardworking staff, a complimentary lunch was provided, creating an opportunity for connection, relaxation, and shared conversation. The Wellness Reset served as a reminder that caring for those who care for our students is essential to the success of our school community.
Matthew Gilbert remains committed to promoting staff wellness and creating spaces where educators feel supported, valued, and re-energized, because healthy adults help build healthy schools.
