Last Friday we hosted our Olweus Bullying Prevention Kickoff 🔥. Thank you to Coach B and the committee for organizing this event. Students learned the rules and pledged to no bullying.

Matthew W. Gilbert Middle School will be participating in the OLWEUS Bullying Prevention Program. A part of that program will be a Bullying Prevention Kickoff on Friday. Students will pledge to No Bullying and learn to support each other. Students are asked to wear orange shirts with their uniform bottoms on Friday. Orange shirts are also available for purchase for $5.00 in the Front Office.
The after-school program Matthew Gilbert has openings. Offering free snack and supper, academic enrichment, Stem, Cheer, Dance, Step Team and Culinary.

Congratulations are due !! This past weekend, our cheerleaders, step team, and dance team competed in the 2025 Cheer, Step, Dance Competition hosted by the Boys and Girls Club. MWG Cheer placed 1st, Step placed 2nd, and Dance also placed 2nd. Congratulations to Ms. Christie and Ms. Washington for bringing home the trophy.
Friday was our talent show, and it was a great success. We have many talented panthers, and it takes a lot of courage to get on stage to perform. Job well done!!
This week, we owe a special shout-out to our wonderful teachers. Thank you for your hard work and dedication this school year. Also, we would like to thank our community partners for supplying us with treats and food for this week.
