The students at Matthew Gilbert will have an opportunity to participate in a school-wide bullying prevention program. The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program is a comprehensive framework designed to drive systemic change and foster a safe, positive school climate. The goals of the program are to reduce bullying issues and improve peer relationships. To effectively implement this program, students will complete an in-school survey starting November 18th. All students received a parent information letter to take home for your review. If you do not want your student to participate in the survey, please sign the form with your student’s name to return to the Main office by Tuesday November 12th. We are looking forward to continuing to educate all students on bullying prevention. If you have any questions, please contact the Main Office at 904-630-6700.
After school tutoring will start Tuesday November 5th 4:30pm-5:30pm. After school tutoring will be offered every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays 4:30pm-5:30pm starting Tuesday, November 5th. Student must have a signed parent permission slip to participate. Each student received the tutoring flyer and permission slip on Tuesday October 29th to take home. If you have any questions, please contact the main office at 904-630-6700.

This is Principal Parker from Matthew Gilbert Middle School. We are excited to begin Quarter 2 on Monday, October 21st. As we enter this new nine-week period, our team has carefully reviewed student data from last year and Quarter 1 to ensure that students are scheduled appropriately to continue on the path to success.
Students will receive updated schedules on Monday, October 21st, designed to provide necessary interventions and support. We encourage you to review your student’s schedule in the Parent FOCUS Portal, which will be available starting Tuesday, October 22nd. Also, as we begin quarter 2, please encourage and remind your student to report to class on time. Students have 5 minutes to transition to report to each class period as we continue to main a safe and secure learning environment. Students should not be tardy to class.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the Main Office at 904-630-6700.
Thank you for your continued support.
